I think that this is my best picture from this assignment because it's one that holds the most sentiment to me. I always love walking and seeing all the leaves change color on campus, because it really emphasizes Fall’s beauty for me. Ironically enough, I have taken a photo of this tree for two years straight, on the same day, and did not even realize so now I feel like it's a part of my Fall campus experience. I think I was able to capture the scene well, as this has been something I’ve wanted to photograph for this class for a while; this tree is also in an area of campus that holds a lot of memories. One challenge I was presented with was trying to capture the scene utilizing different angles that we’ve learned from class, as well as trying to capture the tree the best way I could with the lighting, but with patience, I think I was successful.

“Hi Jessica, I love the photos you both shot and found for this assignment. Not only do I love the layout of how you organized it on your website, but I really think you grasped a lot of varying content, which I admire. I was really drawn to your photography of the books at the UD Bookstore, as this was similar to my image I chose to photograph. I admire how you chose books with varying colored book covers as the focal point, because the photo overall was really vibrant. As a descriptive image, I think you captured this in a good way, because I was also intrigued about the book choices pictured, which is a key element in this form of descriptive photography (grabbing people’s attention towards the books). Great job!"

Hi Gabrielle! I really love this image. The contrast between the deep green tree and the one with all the reds and oranges beautifully captures the transition between seasons. The composition is strong, with the main focus placed off-center, giving the image a more dynamic feel. You’ve captured the scene beautifully!

Hi Gabrielle,

I love how you captured the beauty of the changing seasons in your image. The vibrant contrasting colors of the orange/red leaves against the dark green of the surrounding trees draw me in. Also, the nice sunset in the background allows me to practically feel the crisp fall air and makes me wish I was walking down that sidewalk too! You perfectly demonstrated an aesthetic environment through your photograph.

Hi Gabrielle! I love this image. The vibrant fall colors of the leaves, especially the contrast between the red, orange, and green, immediately catch the eye. The peacefulness of the setting, with the sidewalk and cars in the background, creates a calm and inviting atmosphere. It captures the beauty of the season perfectly.
